100MPH SPEED VIOLATION NETS COCAINE ARREST

Thursday, January 22, 2015 at approximately 1515 hours, Detective Jeffrey Kimbro #371 was traveling southbound on the Palisades Interstate Parkway in the Alpine NJ Section (Near Interchange 4) when he observed a black Nissan Altima traveling at a high rate of speed.  Det. Kimbro was able to pace the vehicle at 100mph.  He requested a marked patrol car to assist as he was operating an unmarked detective vehicle. Police Officer Jeffrey Lamboy #384 was in the arrea and effected the motor vehicle stop. Det J. Kimbro arrived on scene and detected an odor of burnt marijuana emanating from within the passenger compartment of the vehicle.  He interviewed the operator, later identified as Tyvon T. McQueen, 22 yrs old of Brooklyn, NY and in addition to the odor of marijuana, observed deceptive behavior.  Det. Kimrbo later asked for consent to search the vehicle which was denied.   Det. Kimrbo then seized the vehicle and applied for a search warrant which was later granted. During a search of the vehicle, Det. Kimbro located approximately 3.5grams of cocaine concealed in the steering column.  Subsequently, all occupants denied ownership and were then placed under arrest and charged.
