
Religious Recognition
On Thursday, April 12th, 2018 the Palisades Interstate Parkway Police Department was recognized by area religious leaders in response to the department’s assistance during the funeral of Rabbi Mordechai Hager who died in March. During the small ceremony, letters from the family expressing their appreciation were read as well letters from Kaplan family in which members assisted them in locating their daughter who died in a fatal car accident.
Legislator Aron B. Wieder (D-Rockland) read a legislative letter of recognition for the department’s efforts as well as Josef Margeretten representing Chaverim of Rockland. A representative of Hotzoloh of Rockland presented a plaque commemorating the working relationship between Hotzoloh and the Police Department over the past several years.
