ATTEMPTED LURING

On Friday, September 5th 2014 at approximately 430pm the Palisades Interstate Parkway Police Department received a report of an attempted luring of 2 female juveniles. Officers responded and interviewed a 16 year old female who stated that while running with friends they were approached by a white male driving a bright red Toyota Camry who verbally enticed them to enter his vehicle. The females fled and notified police.

This agency is attempting to locate and warn others on the following description:

White male operator at least 50 years old. Described as heavy set, blue eyes, white / gray hair, was clean shaven and wearing a T-shirt at the time.

Vehicle is a 2008/2009 Toyota Camry with unknown New Jersey registration. The victims described the vehicle as being notably bright red in color. The vehicle was last seen on Henry Hudson Drive traveling southbound towards Fort Lee/Edgewater.

Other agencies or members of the public are urged to be aware of the description and keep a diligent alert for any additional incidents.
