On Wednesday, December 6th, 2017 at approximately 0700hrs P.O. Travis Philhower #397 and Chf. Michael Coppola #348 both contacted police headquarters during their travel to and from work reporting a car off the road in the woods.

On Wednesday, October 25th, 2017 members of the Palisades Interstate Parkway Police Department were presented with the AAA Award of Merit for its proactive efforts in traffic safety. Officers Michael Focarino #399 and Rocco Gurerriero #400 attended the ceremony and received the award on behalf of the department. These officers issued the most summonses in the preceding year for traffic safety violations.

The Palisades Interstate Parkway Police Department does confirm that the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office and this agency have a cooperative monitoring agreement in place. Therefore, public/media correspondences related to this agreement are directed to the Prosecutor’s Office.

On Saturday, November 11th 2017 at approximately 1738hrs the Palisades Interstate Parkway Police Department received a call from a person saying that they were part of a 4 person hiking group that was lost in the woods

On Friday, November 10th 2017 at approximately 1937hrs the Palisades Interstate Parkway Police Department received multiple calls reporting a pedestrian struck by auto southbound on the Parkway near the Mobil Gas Station. 

On Wednesday, September 27th, 2017 the Palisades Interstate Parkway Police Department received a call from 2 hikers reporting that they were lost in the woods. They departed State Line Lookout and no longer knew their location.
