PASSING OF RETIRED LIEUTENANT, GREGORY KIMBRO, SR.

It is with deep regret that the Palisades Interstate Parkway Police Department announces the passing of Lt. Gregory Kimbro Sr, Ret. who passed unexpectedly at his home in Charlotte NC Friday September 26th, 2014. Lt. Kimbro who was only 66 when he passed, joined the Palisades Interstate Parkway Police Department as a Police Officer in 1970 and retired in 1998. During his time here he remained in patrol and was a very active, and well liked member of the agency. His sons Gregory Kimbro Jr, and Jeffrey Kimbro have chosen to continue his legacy today as being members of the Palisades Interstate Parkway Police Department themselves. Gregory Kimbro Jr is a Police Officer and Jeffrey Kimbro joined shortly after and is now assigned as Detective. Since retiring, Lt. Kimbro volunteered some of his time in the Detective Bureau at the Charlotte NC police department and made regular visits to our police department when visiting family in the area.

Services for Lt. Kimbro will be at the Teaneck Presbyterian Church located at 1 Church St, Teaneck NJ 07666 on Saturday, October 4th, 2014 at 1100hrs.
