Road Rage with a Weapon

On Friday, November 2nd, 2018 at about 12:37 PM the Palisades Interstate Parkway Police Department received a 911 call reporting a road rage incident during which a handgun was brandished by a man wearing a mask.A Palisades Interstate Parkway Police Officer located the suspect vehicle, a 2006 Honda Accord, traveling northbound on the Palisades Interstate Parkway in the Alpine Section. The officer observed that the sole occupant of the vehicle was still wearing the mask.

With the assistance of the Bergen County Sheriff’s Office K-9 Unit, the weapon was discovered on the shoulder of the Palisades Interstate Parkway near the scene of the traffic stop. It was determined that the weapon was an air powered BB pistol which closely resembles a real firearm.

One arrest was made, the suspect was identified as Brian Negrette, a 34 year old male from the Bronx, NY.

This matter is still under investigation. As of this writing, charges have not been determined.
